Successful Forum! 
Saturday, May 30, 2009 
On Saturday, May 30, 2009 a very successful and informative meeting was held for the lake community. Carol Ann Doucette and Pam Wilkinson presented fact filled presentations with data on our continuing battle against the invasive milfoil and our efforts to obtain federal grants. Samples of the plant and a poster board filled with information and pictures supplemented the power point presentation. We are succeeding but need to keep up the fight. The reduced participation by the Town of Windham in helping support this worthwhile effort will be missed and require a realignment of this years budget.
The meeting also uncovered some resident talent and exciting ideas. Scott Lowell provided a hands on tour of HIPPO answering many questions.
With less than half of the lake residents belonging to the association, an outreach program is essential if only to increase awareness of the presence of milfoil.
