Water Level Update 
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 The dam remains open at 70% and the current water level is 12 inches below the summer high. We would like to be 18 inches below summer high levels so the dam will remain open. With more year round residents and more lake residents in total, questions arise as to the water levels - both summer and winter. Some perceive the water level is to high and some perceive it as to low. The water management procedures have not changed in many years and are subject to changing weather conditions. The dam keepers respond to these changes on a timely basis even though changes take time to stabilize when such a large body of water is involved. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated staff managing the dam and water level issues. |
