She and her husband and two children have lived in Windham since 1984 during which time they have enjoyed lake activities through the generous invitations of friends. In 2002 they acquired their current home on Little Sebago, which they are enjoying greatly. However, because of her frequent use of the lake, she has become much more concerned about it's future. She was becomeing increasingly aware of the spread of milfoil while kayaking on the lower lake. Additionally, over the past 5-6 years, she has become an avid perennial gardener and would like to learn what plantings and practices would benefit the Lake Environment as well as avoiding any harmful practices. Now that both of her children are away at college, she has decided to put the energy she had previously devoted to their activities into interests of her own. She grew up with a love and appreciation for nature and outdoor recreation (her family vacations were often spent camping, canoeing & fishing). Thus, she believes she could learn much through involvement with the LSLA and at the same time help to maintain and improve the health of the lake .
